4 December 2020 was the commencement of an incredible academic journey of the famous niche-oriented university in Canada. International Business University was a product of brainstorming among academics and business people who collaborated to make their dream a reality. The university has quite a history from the idea generation in 2015, a written proposal in 2019, approval of the application in June 2020 by Ontario’s Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board, to the granting of final consent by Ontario’s Minister of Colleges and Universities.

Under the leadership of Tim Mc Tiernan (Founding Vice-Chancellor and President) and Mark Lovewell (Founding Vice President-Academic and Provost), International Business University was launched in September 2021.
