London South Bank University was established in 1892 and was granted full university status in 1992. The University places a strong emphasis on practical education and employability, and its central London location provides close linkages to business and industry. It is one of the largest in London, with over 15,000 students enrolled, 2,000 of them being overseas students from 130 countries. The main campus is in Southwark, a short walk from important monuments and the Thames’s South Bank.
