History
University Canada West (UCW) is a private university located in Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada. David F. Strong, the former president of the University of Victoria, launched it in 2005. UCW was purchased by the Eminata Group in 2008 and sold to Global University Systems in 2014. The university, located in downtown Vancouver, provides undergraduate and graduate degrees in business and management. It was previously located on two floors of a downtown Vancouver office building on Melville Street, the institution relocated in 2014 to the adjoining London Building, which now comprises five floors. The London Building, located at 626 West Pender Street, was constructed in 1912 for the London and British North American Company.
