Overview

The University of Huddersfield, sometimes known as Huddersfield University, is an English public research university that is situated in the West Yorkshire town of Huddersfield. Although it became a university in 1992, it actually began as a number of different institutions in the 19th century. Its operations have placed a special emphasis on teaching quality, and in 2017 it won the first Higher Education Academy Global Teaching Excellence Award and received a Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold Award. In 2020, it shared the top spot in England for the percentage of its staff that had teaching credentials. George W. Buckley, a graduate of the institution and a former executive at 3M, was named as its chancellor in 2020.

The campus has undergone development since 2008, with a total investment of £156 million, ensuring that all students have access to some of the greatest facilities in the nation. Additionally, there is a thriving social scene on campus, and the Students’ Union is quite busy, hosting more than 110 clubs and societies.
