History
Wilfrid Laurier University, often referred to as Laurier, is a public university located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1911 as the Evangelical Lutheran Seminary of Canada. Students starting in May 2022 could be eligible for a scholarship of up to $5,000.
There are two types of scholarships available:

$5,000 AMBASSADOR SCHOLARSHIP
Available to students who want to leave their mark in the WLIC community and would like to share their experience at WLIC.
Recipients of this scholarship will be required to take part in WLIC marketing and promotional events while they are a WLIC student. This may include things such as creating videos, taking part in seminars, promoting WLIC on social media, etc.
Students who are unsuccessful in receiving this scholarship will be automatically considered for other scholarships.
HOW TO APPLY:

$5,000 Ambassador Scholarship

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Scholarship applicants will be notified by email to schedule an interview.
- Scholarship winners will be contacted by email if their scholarship application has been approved.
- To receive the scholarship, winners must pay their full tuition deposit within 10 days of being awarded the scholarship.
- The Country Specific Scholarships will be awarded 6 weeks after the start of the intake and have no cash value. They will be paid over two terms as a credit on the students’ tuition account, Aprox 50% for the first term and 50% for the second term. Students must remain enrolled to be eligible.
- The Ambassador Scholarship it will be paid over two terms as a credit on the students’ tuition account and has no cash value, $2500 for the first term and $2500 for the second term. Students must remain enrolled to be eligible.
- Students must enrol and stay enrolled for the May 2022 term to qualify. Students who withdraw or defer to a later term at any time will not qualify.
- Scholarship recipients agree to have their names and scholarship values posted on WLIC social media.
- Recipients of the Ambassador scholarship will be required to take part in select WLIC marketing and promotional events while they are a WLIC student. This may include things such as creating videos, taking part in seminars, promoting WLIC on social media, etc.
- The scholarship cannot be deferred to future intakes.
10.Scholarships cannot be combined with other scholarships.
11.Limited number of scholarships available. The scholarship application closes when all scholarships have been awarded.
12.Scholarship winners will be selected based on the creativity and sincerity of their submission.
